Apple to drop in-house X11 support and more in Mountain Lion

Apple's upcoming release of OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion will include a number of services from Apple's iOS such as notifications, reminders, notes, and Game Center; however, coupled with this focus on its own services, Apple is moving away from its support of Java and X11.
